A deadly crash involving a car and a motorcycle. Police say Williard Combs, 40, of Northville died Friday night on Pontiac Trial just north of Five Mile Rd. in Salem Township.

Police say Combs was operating a green, 1998 Harley Davidson and was traveling south on Pontiac Trail when the motorcycle appeared to break down and came to a stop. A short time later, a maroon 2005 Ford Taurus, operated by Sarah Patton, 22, of South Lyon struck the rear of motorcycle. Combs was thrown from the motorcycle. He hit the windshield of the Ford Taurus. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. It's still under investigation. So far, no charged have been filed.
