A qualified candidate will do the following:
Reviewing and evaluating product requests from customers, and may formulate conceptual designs to meet customer requirements.
Analyze project proposals to determine feasibility, cost, and production time, tooling, and outside processing.
Coordinate with other departments to develop a unified approach for processing new product or improving existing product.
Plan process for conformance to engineering principles, customer contract requirements, company standards, and related specifications.
Prepare Manufacturing Operation Sheets (MOS's# to clearly communicate processes to operators.
Interface with customer representatives and internal personnel concerned with technical developments, scheduling, or manufacturing for resolution of problems or engineering issues, as required.
Consult with manufacturing or other personnel as required to provide technical assistance and information.
Compare actual project cost to quoted project cost and reports findings
Pursue process improvements and cost reduction programs.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university #mechanical engineering preferred but not required). 5 or more years of experience is preferred. Experience in Process Engineering preferred but not required.
