All About Animals is hosting a pet event for surgeries at a low cost to owners in its state-of-the-art mobile surgery van in front of Hamtramck City Hall on August 14 through August 18.
Spay and neutering will be available Tuesday, August 14 as well as Thursday, August 16 through Saturday, August 18. Appointments can be made by calling 586-879-1745 or by requesting an appointment online at www.allaboutanimalsrescue.org. The group usually charges $80 to spay or neuter dogs and $40 for a cat.
There will also be a special walk-in wellness care clinic on Wednesday, August 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for pet vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchipping, deworming and parasite prevention at a low cost.
The surgeries are priced at whatever amount the owner can afford.
"There's a lot of families out there that just need a little help with their pets. And this is what we do best," said Catherine Garrett, Director of Development and Marketing at All About Animals Rescue. "Spay and neuter is a proven method of reducing the number of unwanted animals and strays and the pet is healthier. It's all wins here."
