Derby Diamonds to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association

Here is a fun way you can take a trip back in time to help a great Michigan cause.

The Oakland Derby Diamonds roller derby team is hosting a fundraiser skate party Thursday night.  The evening features an 80's theme with great music, raffles and prizes.

Proceeds from the event's 50/50 raffle benefit the Alzheimer's Association's Greater Michigan Chapter.

The association covers 60 counties and serves nearly 130,000 families living with Alzheimer's disease.

The fundraiser will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Rolladium skating center in Waterford.  Admission is $5.00 plus skate rental.
