Schools are focusing on more nutritional lunches for students lately. Packing a healthy lunch and making a tasty snack that's good for your kids is essential.
Wellness expert and fitness chef Ashley Pettit joined Good Day Chicago with ideas on what you can make for the perfect lunch and a couple of healthy snacks.
She uses great energy foods, and shows that you don't need to sacrifice taste for nutrition.
Here are the recipes:
Banana Lollipop: Small banana on a skewer. Spread seed/nut butter over first half of banana and then roll it in granola.
Yogurt Smoothie: 1/2-Cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 Cup mixed berries, 2 tsp raw honey
