SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Fifty cities in one week -- it's the most ambitious "Pure Michigan" road trip ever planned, and it's going on right here in metro Detroit.

A group of volunteers helped with the Royal Oak portion of the new "Lip Dub" commercial for Pure Michigan.

Stops were also made Tuesday at the Fox Theater and Joe Louis Arena.  The Detroit Red Wings even got in on the action.

Two Michigan-born men are shooting the new commercial.  The duo previously did a Grand Rapids lip dub video last year.  Now, their goal is do something for the entire state.

"Each city has its own line in the song, Royal Oak being one of them.  We combine them all together to create a video about how great Michigan is," said Rob Bliss.

If you're interested in participating, you can follow the event's times and locations at www.michigan.org/blog.
