
Turn back the clock and celebrate 50 years of the Friends of African and African American Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts this fall.
The Summer of 62 event happens Saturday, September 15 at 7 p.m. Dancing follows an evening of cocktails and a strolling dinner. Ticket prices are $150 ($500 VIP patron) and available at www.dia.org.
Guests are asked to RSVP by September 7.
One of the DIA's oldest auxiliaries, the Friends of African and African American Art originated as the African Art Gallery Committee in 1962.
