The former Detroit Lions running back will open his 'Billy Sims Barbecue' restaurant in Southfield on Friday. A second Michigan location is scheduled to open in Lincoln Park Oct. 5.
To celebrate the opening, Billy Sims and fellow Detroit Lions alumnus Steve Owens will host an in-store appearance at the Southfield location on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Billy Sims Barbecue is located at 25025 Telegraph Road. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
