ROSEVILLE, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) -- A young girl is in the fight for her life. She is in critical condition after barely surviving being hit by a car while she was on her bicycle in Roseville. Police say the victim, a young white female, had no identification on her.

"Anybody who might know, a young lady, 13 to 16 years of age, 5' 5", medium length, short brown hair. She was wearing at the time of the accident a black tank top, short blue jean shorts, black flip flops and had pink colored nail polish on her toenails," said Roseville Police Chief James Berlin.

"The blue truck was right there and the bike was all the way under there. All you could see was just the handlebars," said witness Dave Miller.

3:30 Friday afternoon, the young girl was riding eastbound on Twelve Mile. Witnesses told us the girl went around the back end of a box truck that was blocking the crosswalk. She was struck by a young girl driving a blue SUV. Witnesses said after the crash, the driver jumped out of the car. She was hysterical. She put her blue hoodie under the victim's head and waited for police to arrive.

Police hope to find the girl's family through the bike she was riding. It's a black and gold Kent mountain bike. Police said it is an upper end boy's bike.
