Coming off a big win against the Sun on Sunday, the Sky were unable to repeat the feat against the familiar foe as they fell 83-72 to Connecticut.
Missing Sylvia Fowles for the second straight game, the Sun's Tina Charles took advantage in the paint (24 points and 14 rebounds) and the Sky were unable to shoot themselves into the game from the outside.
The Sky, who took care of the ball for most of the night, actually took more shots than Connecticut (69-63), but had trouble keeping pace with the Sun due to a rough shooting night. For the game, Chicago shot only 36% from the field including 4-24 from beyond the arc.
On a positive note, it was a balanced scoring night for the Sky who had five players in double digits for the second straight game. Courtney Vandersloot led the team with 17. Swin Cash had 15. Epiphanny Prince, Sonja Petrovic and Carolyn Swords each had 10.
Kara Lawson recorded 18 points and six assists for the Sun.
The Sky (9-15) head to Indiana to face the Fever on Saturday, while the Sun (18-6) travel to San Antonio to play the Silver Stars on Thursday.
