LANSING, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) - The winner of the $337 million dollar Powerball lottery jackpot will be introduced during a special ceremony at lottery headquarters in Lansing on Friday.

The winning ticket was sold at a Sunoco gas station in Lapeer on August 15. The identity of the winner has been a source of great speculation since the numbers were drawn.

The lucky player will be introduced during a news conference beginning at 11:30 a.m.

It was the third-largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history. Lottery officials have said the winner could take home a $241 million lump sum.

FOX 2 News plans complete coverage of the event on Friday during FOX 2 News Live at 11.
