SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -
The Great Lakes Chapter of The Links, Inc. is hosting their annual Mystique: A Fusion of Jazz and Arts Event this Saturday, Sept. 8.
It's an evening of good food, dancing and a special performance by Saxophonist Randy Scott. Saturday's event will benefit "Shapedown," a childhood obesity initiative at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan, The National Conference of Arts Youth Arts Program, just to name a few.
The Mystique: A Fusion of Jazz And Arts Event will be held at International Market Place Banquet Center at 1000 Bush Street in Detroit beginning at 7 p.m.
President of The Great Lakes Chapter of The Links, INC., Schylbea Hopkins and aspiring artist Aaron Johnson joined us this morning to tell us more about the event.
