Metro Detroit gas prices now average more than $4 a gallon

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -
Parents driving their kids to school today may notice higher gasoline prices. AAA Michigan says drivers are paying 11 cents more for gas this week than last.
The statewide average is now at a staggering $4.03 per gallon.
The auto club said Tuesday the average is about 19 cents per gallon more than last year at this time.
Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel is in the Traverse City area, where it's $3.91 a gallon. The highest average is in the Marquette area at $4.15.
