DETROIT (myFOXDetroit.com) -

An Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Paula Manderfield ruled Wednesday that Detroit city workers do not have to take a ten percent pay cut.

Manderfield invalidated sections 4.1 and 4.3 of the consent agreement, which Bing used in July to enact 10 percent pay cuts imposed on firefighters and police officers.

The Michigan attorney general's office is taking a closer look at the ruling and is considering appealing the decision.

Does this mean cuts made earlier this summer are no longer valid.  Not yet.  The judge ruled a stay on her order given the likelihood of an appeal.
