Elder says firefighters freed the woman, and transported her to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.

The crash closed Pontiac Trail between Warren and Dhu Varren roads for more than an hour as police investigated. The road was reopened about 7:30 a.m.

Eder says the location is a train switching area. The railroad crossing has no gate, but does have a signal.
