Vigil planned, memorial established for slain Detroit bouncer

DETROIT (WJBK) -
A candlelight vigil is planned for a Warren man who police say was fatally stabbed while working outside of a Detroit night club.
Family and friends are expected to gather at Club Pandemonium at 8 p.m. Wednesday to remember the life of 40-year-old Lou Ferrin. Police say early Sunday morning while working as a bouncer, Ferrin was stabbed in the neck by a male patron he was ejecting from the club.
Family members say Ferrin worked at the club as a second job to support his family. The father of three owned his own security business.
Ferrin's killer remains at large.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hopcroft Funeral Home (31145 John R Road) in Madison Heights. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Christian Church (33801 Van Dyke) in Sterling Heights.
