SkyFOX over the scene of a deadly accident in Warren Friday morning.
WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) -
Police say a man was killed and a woman injured following a crash at the intersection of 13 Mile Road and Mound Friday morning.
Police tell FOX 2's Roop Raj that a Sterling Heights officer witnessed a green Grand Prix run a red light at the intersection of 15 Mile Road and Mound after 9 a.m. The officer turned right on Mound to pursue the driver, but did not engage in a chase or turn on his lights.
After losing site of the vehicle, the officer continued southbound on Mound until he came across the accident scene involving the same green Grand Prix and a tan-colored Chevy Tahoe SUV.
Police say the driver of the Grand Prix was killed. The SUV, which is registered to General Motors, was flipped and ended up in the median. The woman inside was rushed to Beaumont Hospital.
