An illegal immigrant from Mexico wanted by police for having sex with a minor in Oakland County is under arrest after being tracked down by federal agents.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or (ICE) officers say 33-year old Miguel Angel Davila-Ruiz was wanted on a four-count warrant charging him with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
The crime reportedly happened in Pontiac in July. Last month Crime Stoppers offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. According to a release officers were able to locate Davila-Ruiz at a home in the 1200 block of Central St. in southwest Detroit.
When officers arrived Davila-Ruiz and another man found in the home tried to escape but were captured after a brief chase. No one was hurt.
After facing the criminal charges in Oakland County Davila-Ruiz will be returned to ICE custody and processed for deportation. The other man was arrested on immigration violations and will remain in ICE custody pending his removal from the U.S.
