Lock down ends at Melvindale High School - Fox 2 News Headlines

Students and teachers at Melvindale High School have been dismissed for the day, ending a lock down situation that started because of a police investigation.

The school had been placed on a lock down while police officers searched for a robbery suspect in the area of Oakwood and Prospect at Prospect Circle.

Officers entered a nearby home where they believed the suspect had been hiding, but failed to find anyone inside.
