Man accused of killing Club Pandemonium bouncer in court

DETROIT -- 20-year-old Trevon Dumas was in court Wednesday. He is accused of killing security guard Louis Ferrin on September 23 at Club Pandemonium, stabbing him in the neck as Ferrin was kicking him out of the club.
Princeton Anthony testified he never saw his friend, Dumas, with a knife or stab Ferrin. He just saw Dumas hit Ferrin as he was being ejected.
Ferrin was found in the basement of the club within minutes. His co-workers followed a trail of blood from the doors down the stairwell to the lower level where the well-liked bouncer, father and family man was bleeding out and suffocating on his own blood. He had a stab wound six inches deep in his neck.
The judge will decide on November 1 whether Trevon Dumas will stand trial.
Earlier in the summer, Marcell Jackson, a volunteer with the Detroit 300, was shot and killed while working security at Club Pandemonium. That murder is still unsolved.
Police and prosecutors have been looking at ways to shut the club down. It closed for a few days after Ferrin's death, then reopened only to have shots fired inside. They closed the next day. The sign was removed. Now they're reopening. No longer Pandemonium, there is no name right now. We're told it will be a dance club, but it's rumored it will be a topless bar in the future.

Sabrina Gianino was found dead with a cord around her neck inside a Grosse Pointe Park home early Thursday morning. The medical examiner has ruled her death a homicide.
