Homes built by volunteers from Habitat for Humanity were among the hardest hit by a tornado that killed at least six people in North Texas.
Residents whose homes were torn apart or blown away by a North Texas deadly tornado can soon return to retrieve what belongings may be left and start cleaning up, authorities said Friday.
Officials awaited daybreak to fully assess the scope of the destruction left in the wake of a deadly tornado in Granbury.
In a story May 16 about tornadoes that swept through North Texas, The Associated Press misspelled the name of the executive director for Trinity Habitat for Humanity in Fort Worth. He is Gage Yager, not Yeager.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Metro Detroit will likely feel the effects of "Sandy" in the form of gusty winds and pockets of light rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of Southeastern Michigan through 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. They say wind gusts around 50 miles per hour are anticipated.
A high wind warning is in effect for Huron, Sanilac and St. Clair counties through noon on Tuesday. People in those areas could see wind gusts as high as 65 miles per hour.
The weather service has also issued gale and storm warnings for areas of certain bodies of water in our region.
Fox 2's Roop Raj reported Monday afternoon there were four to five foot swells on Lake St. Clair.
"If you don't have to come out here, don't come out here," Lieutenant Brian Barlog from the Macomb County Sheriff's Department told him. "I can't remember it ever being this bad out here."
Rich Tollam from the National Weather Service also told us, "We're also going to have all that water and wave action hitting the coastlines, so we might get some minor flooding and some minor beach and coastal erosion on our own Great Lakes' lakeshores."
Michigan utilities say high winds could cause power outages in the state and they're keeping an eye on the weather to respond to power problems. DTE Energy Co. said gusts of 50 mph Monday evening and Tuesday could affect some it its 2.1 million customers.
As of Monday night, DTE told us there were 33,000 power outages in the tri-county area of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
DTE has also deployed about 100 linemen from our area to the East Coast to provide assistance with power outages there.
Sandy has also been causing air travel disruptions, so if you are scheduled to take a flight headed east, you should check with your airline before going to the airport.
Meanwhile, some good Samaritans from metro Detroit are getting ready to help. Towels, toothbrushes and buckets of the stuff we take for granted will be on its way to the East Coast for Sandy's victims on Friday after the storm has passed.
"It's supposed to be down time for disasters -- November, December -- and so we were kind of gearing up for the off season, and then all of a sudden 'Frankenstorm' comes up and we're like here we go again," said Greg Martin.
He started a nonprofit called Disaster Relief at Work. DRAW helped people just a month ago during Hurricane Isaac in Louisiana. Now Martin's team is getting together with four other groups ready for a long road trip.
"We will need volunteers all week. We need donations," Martin explained.
You can get in touch with DRAW through their website at www.DrawBuckets.org.
