SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Maybe you say to yourself, "Hey, I'm walking every day for 30 minutes.  How come I'm not losing any weight?"  Maybe it's not what you eat, but what you drink that's holding you back.

Sugar-sweetened soda is the number one source of extra calories in the American diet.  Here's an easy way you can figure out whether it's an issue for you.  Coca-Cola has a calculator that shows you how much exercise you'll have to do to work off the soda you drink.

For example, if you drink just one can of Coke, you'll have to walk for 30 minutes to burn it off.

Click here to check out the Coca-Cola calculator.

That's just one of the reasons why healthcare officials, community leaders and kids across Detroit are making a pledge to "Say No to Soda" for 30 days.  Click here to learn more about the campaign.
