More subway service returns Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK (AP) -- More subway service is returning in time for Tuesday morning's rush hour and Election Day traffic.

The MTA says A train service will be restored to 207th Street in Manhattan, and C train service will be extended to 168th Street. The B train will run between Bedford Park Boulevard in the Bronx and Kings Highway in Brooklyn. The Q train will run between 57th Street-Seventh Avenue in Manhattan and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn.

The MTA says the G and L trains are now the top priority. The signal system on the G still needs repairs, and the L tunnel under the East River is still being pumped out.

"Significant crowding" on the 1, 2 and 3 trains remains a concern.
