Mayor Michael Bloomberg visited Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn on Saturday to personally thank members of the National Guard for their assistance with Hurricane Sandy relief and recovery efforts.

Floyd Bennett Field, located in the Flatlands section, has been a relief staging area and home to thousands of National Guard members following the storm.

The mayor and the governor weren't the only ones talking to victims and relief workers on Saturday.

Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan gave his blessings to residents on Staten Island.
