CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A well-known pastor from Dolton, the Reverend Anthony Williams, became the first official candidate to throw his hat in the ring to replace Jackson in the 2nd congressional district.

"We cannot afford to have professional politicians holding this congressional seat, but we must have a public servant, someone who cares about the people, someone who will deal with the critical issues, someone who will be a voice in Washington for the concerns of people.

Williams was a write-in candidate for Jackson's seat in November. He pastors the Good Shepherd Lutheran church in Robbins.
