DETROIT (WJBK) -- Early Monday morning in the 20000 block of Yacama Road just south of Eight Mile, someone murdered siblings Lavon and Larae Bowman.

The two lived together.  Their mother called police when she found the front door kicked in.

Lavon was found downstairs with a gunshot to the head.  Larae was found upstairs with cuts to the neck and a gunshot to the chest.  Her car was missing from the driveway and found down the road.

The siblings' family declined to talk to us.  The pain is too much as they grieve the loss of a brother and sister in their early thirties.

The siblings lived next door to their parents.  Lavon was a business person, Larae a model and a college graduate.  Their bodies were found around 8:00 p.m. Monday.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
