Detroit house explosion sends man to hospital with burns

Sources tell Fox 2 an explosion leveled a home on Detroit's west side early Sunday night, sending a lone occupant to the hospital with second-degree burns.
Fire officials say the explosion occurred around 6 p.m., injuring the 60 year-old man inside. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The blast blew out the back and front walls of the home, as well as the side wall. One house next door received minor damage.
Gas and utility crews responded to check other homes in the area. DTE says a preliminary check shows the blast was not caused by any faulty equipment. The investigation continues.
