CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Could salt be contributing to childhood obesity? An Australian study says yes.

Researchers believe children are eating salty foods that make them thirsty. Then, researchers say they quench their thirst with sugary drinks.

Researchers say the more salty foods kids ate, the more drinks they had.

They also found that kids who had more than one sugary drink a day were more than a third likely to be overweight.
