PHILADELPHIA -

Quarterback Nick Foles won't be in the Eagles starting lineup for the team's final game of the season against the New York Giants, after coach Andy Reid announced he had suffered a hairline fracture to his hand.

In his Monday afternoon weekly press conference, Reid said Foles suffered a hairline fracture to his Second Metacarpal. Reid said the quarterback was given an x-ray after Sunday's loss to the Redskins, but the fracture didn't show up until an MRI was done Monday morning.

Reid says he is looking at Michael Vick as the team's starter for next week. Vick was benched after suffering a concussion in November and has since been cleared to play.

Reid says a hairline fracture typically requires a three-week recovery period.

The Eagles dropped their 11th loss Sunday at home in what could possibly be Reid's final home game as the team's coach.

The Eagles had a last minute shot to tie the game in the fourth quarter but the offense was unable to score.

Reid called the game a "tough loss."

"The effort was good, the guys played hard," Reid said.

The Eagles face the Giants, who are playing for a spot in the playoffs, at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
