But if Santa brought you something you don't want, here are a few tips you should know before you try to return it.
Retail experts say the number one return tip is don't take the item back the day after Christmas. Stores will have extra customer service help, however, you'll probably still have to stand in a very long line.
The next tip offered by experts is to know what you are getting back. It is very possible that you will not receive cash back for your unwanted gift. Instead, you'll most likely get a store credit.
And last but not least, keep track of your window to make the return. Return policies can range from 30 to 90 days.
