A study published in the American Journal of Therapeutics found that carnosine can mobilize the immune system to fight early stages of the flu.
The carnosine compound can be found in many recipes for chicken soup.
For the second time in a week, a study has come out saying chicken soup can actually help ease the pain and suffering of the flu.
Researchers at the University of Nebraska have found the ingredients in the soup can actually improve your immune system and help you not only fight the flu when it hits, but keep you from getting sick in the first place.
