PHILADELPHIA -

Four people were shot and two are dead after a pair of shootings in Philadelphia early this morning.

New Year's took a deadly turn first in Cobbs Creek. Shots rang out on the 5600 block of Carpenter Street just after 12:30 a.m. Police say a 16-year-old shot in the chest and hand was rushed to a hospital but pronounced dead.

There are no suspects at this time. The incident is under investigation.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., a 24-year-old man was found shot once in the head on the 1600 block of Pratt Street in Frankford. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been reported, and a homicide investigation continues.

And a third deadly shooting occurred at approximately 3:40 a.m. in the area of 17th and Venango streets in Nicetown.

Police say three people were shot at a house. One man, a 23-year-old, was rushed to a hospital but pronounced dead.

A 22-year-old shot twice in the chest and once in the foot is in critical condition, while another is stable with a wound to his foot.

There are reports of possible arrests near the scene, but homicide investigators said Tuesday afternoon that there are no charges yet in this case.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
