Freezin' for a Reason Missed the New Year's Day plunge? Jump into Lake Michigan to benefit Project Rescue Chicago, which rescues abandoned dogs and finds them new homes, then join fellow dog lovers at a nearby pub for drink specials and prizes. The event raised more than $20,000 last year. Note: Humans only at this event. Winter Wonderfest Christmas is over, but the annual extravaganza is still going strong at Navy Pier. Ride the Ferris wheel or wait in line for new attraction Zero Gravity.
