If you were Detroit, what would be your New Year's resolution?

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (WJBK) -- Charlie Langton went to American Coney Island where he asked people, "If you were the city of Detroit, what kind of New Year's resolution would you make?

Here are some of the responses people gave him:

"Fire the mayor."

"I'd try to get about five emergency managers in here as quickly as possible."

"One thing they could start is cleaning up the city."

"Try to get all the streetlights working and the fire hydrants working."

"I would make a resolution to get more police officers and fire guys back on the job, give them a raise."
