Arpaio sworn in for sixth 4-year term - Fox 2 News Headlines

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was sworn in for his 6th term Monday afternoon.

And in an unusual move, Arpaio requested that his wife Ava administer the oath of office during the ceremony.

The sheriff has made national headlines over the years for the harsh rules in his jails, and more recently, his immigration sweeps.

But on election day, the sheriff promised to forge a better relationship with the Hispanic community. FOX 10's Andrew Hasbun reports.
