People in the west valley can expect some delays getting around starting Monday. Construction is closing a major road in the area.

Litchfield Road will be receiving a major makeover. The road will be closed at Wigwam Boulevard for the next two months.

It's all part of a new pedestrian underpass.

Drivers will have to use alternate routes, such as Dysart or Sarival Road.

The project will cost $2.5 million to complete.
