Road conditions cause numerous accidents, 1 closing the Stevenson

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Slippery roads are being blamed for a number of accidents across the Chicago area Monday.

In Plainfield, one driver lost control and landed upside down in a creek, just after 7 a.m. along Route 30 near South Lily Cache, just west of I-55. Divers are at the scene looking for the driver.

In DeKalb County Monday morning, a school bus and a Frito Lays delivery truck ended up in a field after collided at Keslinger Road and Somonauk Road.

There were no reports of any children injured in this accident. FOX 32 News is still waiting for word on condition of the drivers.

A rollover semi closed the inbound Stevenson at the Tri-State for a couple of hours Monday while crews cleaned up all the debris.
