A semi-truck hauling carpet, tile and grout rolled on Interstate 10 near Johnson Road Wednesday morning.
Before crews arrived at the scene, the truck was on its side, blocking traffic, according to Curt Kinsey of Unique Heavy Recovery.
Kinsey's crew had to wait until sunrise to move the semi.
"The freeway will stay open..there's not a problem there. For our work, we need some daylight to maneuver our vehicles..we can't see in the median of the freeway -- how deeply we have to turn some vehicles around to do that," said Kinsey.
"Our first responder, one of our wreckers, came out here and literally pulled the tractor trailer off the freeway onto the side so they could open up the freeway outside of the safety issue, that's the number one issue -- to get the freeway open right away."
Only the driver was inside the truck. He sustained minor injuries. His name was not released.
