State's atty. seeks to remove Dist. 205 board president

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez is seeking to remove the board president of Thornton High School District 205.

Alvarez filed a lawsuit Thursday against Kenneth Williams.

She previously sent him a letter demanding his resignation because he's a felon, conviced of forgery in 1985.

But he refuses to resign.

Correction: FOX 32 News earlier reported that Williams is no longer an employee of District 205 because of unpaid child support. District 205 has confirmed that Williams is not currently an employee of the district.
