Group of women robbing men outside Near North Side bars - Fox 2 News Headlines

Police are warning Near North Side bar patrons of a group of women robbing people outside neighborhood clubs.

At least one woman approaches men outside neighborhood bars and then robs them, according to Area Central detectives.

The robberies happened about 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 6 in the 2000 block of North Halsted; and about 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 13 in the 900 block of West Armitage, police said.

In one incident, three women approached a group of men and stole their phones, money and a coat, then fled in a waiting black SUV, police said.

In the other incident, police said a woman lured a man into the black SUV with the promise of a party. Once inside, two other men demanded the victim empty his pockets, then ordered him out of the vehicle.

The women are described as black and in their late 20s, police said. The men are described as black and in their 20s or 30s. The vehicle is a black SUV, possibly a Pontiac.

No weapons were displayed in either robbery, police said.
