Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath for President Obama as First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia looked on.
Vice President Biden recited his oath with Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
The president and vice president did it all again Monday for the public ceremony on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Meanwhile, in an encore performance at King's memorial Sunday, the Soul Children of Chicago serenaded a crowd and showed the nation why they were invited to perform. The 45 kids first sang at the Kids' Inaugural Ball on Saturday night where they met First Lady Michelle Obama.
Nearby, the South Shore drill team also grabbed the crowd's attention hours before performing at the historic Howard Theatre's Hope Youth Ball. They were exhausted from the trip, but excited and thankful for the $45,000 donated to get them to Washington D.C.
The drill team marched on Monday in the 2013 inauguration parade, showcasing the city the president calls home.
