GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
The Grayslake District 46 School Board and the district's teachers' union reached a tentative agreement just after midnight on Monday, ending a three-day strike.
Jim Pergander, representative of the Lake County Federation of Teachers, said tentative agreement was reached on "all outstanding issues" and that the strike will be suspended pending ratification of the agreement by union members and the school board.
Classes at the district's seven schools will be held on Tuesday.
"Both sides look forward to welcoming the students back to school," Pergander said.
