Graph search, Facebook's new search feature, is both a good thing and a bad one for users, according to technology expert Shelly Palmer.
Until now, Facebook users were unable to search for friends who live in a certain town or like a particular movie. With the new feature, people can search for friends who, for example, live in Boston who also like the film "Zero Dark Thirty."
If that's not appealing to you, Palmer recommends you become a "master" of your activity log.
"Just because you deleted it from the Timeline doesn't mean it's deleted. You have to go to your settings so that doesn't come up in a search. Go to privacy settings and you'll see a long list of what you've done on Facebook in your activity log," said Palmer.
