MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. (AP) - Firefighters responding to a burst pipe discovered hundreds of marijuana plants in a Mount Vernon building that once housed a flower shop.
They say the area was equipped with heat lamps, chemicals and packaging materials. They estimated the plants were worth several hundred thousand dollars.
The investigation into who was operating the lab is continuing.
Firefighters came across the marijuana laboratory at 137 South Fifth Ave. on Saturday.
