WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) - The 9th Annual WWJ Radiothon benefiting THAW will get underway Friday, Feb. 1 at Art Van Furniture in Warren (6500 14 Mile Road).
WWJ Newsradio 950 will broadcast live from 5 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Friday and again from 9 a.m. - noon on Saturday. This year's goal is to raise $300,000 for struggling families.
FOX 2's Amy Andrews and Charlie Langton will be live at the event as well.
You can donate by calling the Winter Survival Radiothon Hotline at (888) 579-4950 or online at www.thawfund.org.
THAW assists families in need by preventing utility shut-off, providing fuel or restoring services. 91% of every dollar that THAW spends goes directly to help those in need and THAW's utility partners match every dollar that THAW raises, so that $1 becomes $2 in energy assistance.
