Sex and soda spark Super Bowl commercial controversy: Chat Room

On Monday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash editor Susanna Negovan and Lifestyle Consultant Rochelle Trotter dished on sex and soda in the Super Bowl.
The Calvin Klein ad featuring a "ripped" male body clad only in skimpy undershorts is creating quite the controversy. Some say it's too sexual.
Susanna thinks it's more artistic than sexual, as the body looks so sculpted. Rochelle doesn't think it's any more sexual than a Victoria's Secret ad, and stated it's not much different than seeing a very athletic guy preparing for a swim competition in short trunks.
The ladies also spoke on the Sodastream ad which was pulled from the Super Bowl because it featured the noticeable big soda brands - Coca Cola and Pepsi blowing up bottles.
Susanna thinks Sodastream still won as they ran a similar ad, and the original one has almost 4 million views on YouTube. Rochelle agreed, stating that Sodastream saved $3.7 million by not running that 30 second ad yet still got the benefit of awareness via YouTube. Brilliant!
