PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police say they are looking to identify a man caught on surveillance video robbing a Subway restaurant Sunday in Packer Park.

Police reported that the man asked the cashier for cookies before pulling out a handgun and demanding money from the register.

The man covered his face as he came into the restaurant at 330 Oregon Avenue around 6 p.m. Police said he took an undisclosed amount of cash from the counter and told the employee to get in the back of the store.

He then ran out of the shop and west along Oregon Avenue.

The suspect is described as being white, around 30-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a white and gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, black sneakers and a black scarf.

Police advise not to approach the suspect if seen but to immediately call 911.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call 215-686-8477 or send a text to 773847. You can also submit a tip electronically with this form.
