Gov. Dan Malloy wants you off the roads of Connecticut.
He ordered all roads in Connecticut closed until further notice. The traffic ban extends to all vehicles except for emergency response and recovery vehicles.
"It's critical right now that residents stay off the roads, so that our plows can continue their efforts to clear our streets and highways," said Governor Malloy. "This is a record setting storm. It's going to take time to dig out of the snow. Stalled or abandoned vehicles will only slow that process. Unless you face an emergency, please stay put."
The state banned motor vehicle travel on limited access highways beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013.

A car crashed into a building on 2nd Avenue and East 4th Street in the East Village on Wednesday morning. At least eight people were injured, three in serious condition, according to FDNY officials.
A car jumped the curb on 2nd Avenue and East 4th Street in the East Village on Wednesday morning injuring eight people. Witnesses say the Nissan was traveling at a high speed before it took out the store front, trees, bicycles, a light post and a fire hydrant.
