Jersey Shore Sees Flooding, High Wind And Rain From Storm

Posted: Updated:

Raging waters came crashing ashore in Atlantic City Friday night when the evening high tide hit.

Debris could be found on neighborhood streets from the water fueled by high wind and rain associated with the storm. It's a scary scene for people in many shore communities. Many  of them just now getting over damage from Hurricane Sandy. They now fear any rain and wind could do damage they can't afford. Bob Kelm is one of them.

"The wind is out in that ocean. If the wind is strong enough it'll push the water up here like a foot, a foot and a half, even two feet sometimes," said Kelm. He knows the damage it can do.  He just moved back into his Margate home two days ago after being out since Sandy struck. Streets around his home are already seeing some flooding. Bob says this is minor but he wonders when high tide hits Saturday morning if he'll have to leave his home again.

"When I get up 7 in the morning if I don't like what I see I'll just go out to my daughter's house in Egg Harbor Township," Bob laughed.

High tide is 6:24 Saturday morning.
