The SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the individuals responsible for the deaths of six dogs that were found dead and stuffed in garbage bags in South Philadelphia.

Officials were called to 26th Street and Washington Avenue by workers making a routine inspection of railroad tracks in the area, when found black trash bags with six adult pitbull remains in them.  All of the dogs had extensive injuries and wounds.

The SCPA says they do not want to speculate on the cause of death, although they know the animals did not died of natural causes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania SPCA's Anti-Cruelty hotline at 1-866-601-SPCA.
